As a senior creative professional, I am keenly aware of the recent surge in AI and the emergence of new AI tools that are challenging all professions related to our minds. It is difficult to predict when and where this technology will take us, and creative professions are particularly vulnerable as their work relies on their unique ideas and insights.
As we navigate this new landscape, it is essential that we are cautious about the impact of AI on human designers and ensure that they do not become obsolete. To achieve this, we must take the time to understand the strengths and weaknesses of both AI and human intelligence. By carefully considering their capabilities and limitations, we can not only incorporate AI tools into our creative process but also use our innate artistic abilities to elevate our work to new heights. Ultimately, it is up to us as creative professionals to strike a delicate balance between AI and human intelligence and harness the power of both to achieve our goals.
AI (Artificial Intelligence) Design

HI (Human Intelligence) Design
Human designers have the unique ability to think creatively and make and break the rules while staying within the realm of human abilities. This skill cannot be matched by AI’s speed and accuracy. Human designers can create designs that connect emotionally and produce unexpected results.
- Can think outside the box and create new rules.
- Cannot compete with AI in terms of speed and accuracy.
- Can create designs that relate to emotions and are unexpected.
- This skill will always be relevant to human intelligence.
We must understand the unique strengths and limitations of both AI design tools and human designers. Only then can we fully harness the potential of AI as a tool in our work?
The rise of the industrial revolution brought similar concerns about the role of humans in the workplace. However, we soon realized that technology could augment our abilities and allow us to focus on tasks that require human creativity and intuition. Similarly, AI design tools can assist us in tasks that require speed and accuracy, leaving us free to focus on the aspects of design that require human ingenuity.
We’ve utilized AI tools to prepare the fundamental components of human design. Yet, the true test of our ingenuity as designers is how we wield and integrate AI-generated output into our work. Rather than dedicating time to gathering and contemplating the components, we can now rely on AI to do so, allowing us to focus on refining the connections, originality, and endurance of our designs.
We can’t help but wonder about the intelligence of the world around us. It appears everything created by God, from the trees to the seas, is a glimpse of artificial intelligence. These wonders operate on a special set of instructions provided by the divine, carrying out their reactions and actions according to a pre-set program.
Take a bull, for example. If you place your hand in front of its head, it will inevitably strike you — this is the programmed response it has received whenever encountering such a thing. However, human behaviour is entirely different. If you were to slap someone, their reaction could range from shooting you to slapping you back, to laughing, to leaving angrily, to breaking down in tears. Everyone’s response is unique, and this diversity is what makes human intelligence so remarkable.
It’s important for us to acknowledge the significance of both AI and human intelligence in expanding our brainpower. It’s essential to understand the role that AI tools can play in our lives and how to utilize them to their full potential. By doing so, we can tap into their vast capabilities to fuel our creativity, and generate fresh and revolutionary ideas that break new ground and exceed our expectations.
